A Blizzard Warning has been issued for Suffolk County – with accumulations reaching 10-14 inches and winds 20-30mph and gusts up to 45mph.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Nassau County, forecasting heavy snow on Thursday with accumulations at 6-10 inches.Wind gusts are expected to be 30-35mph with blizzard conditions and temperatures around 30 degrees.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from late Wednesday (Feb 8) night through Thursday afternoon. Snow accumulations could be 6-10 inches. Travel is expected to be hazardous, take precautions and avoid the roads.
